Audio Issues

Does anyone else get issues trying to get audio through headphones while playing any C&C game? No matter what, sound always comes through my computer speakers, rather than my headphones. Contacted EA but they have been no help at all!

this happen to me on cnc kanes wrath. i accidently fixed it. what i did. i played music on pandora because i couldnt hear the game from headphones so decided to just play music while i play the game and got on the game with the music on and the sound fixed for me and now works through headphones. so what i did was just went to pandora and played music and got on the game and it got fixed. weird

can't listen to pandora because its not available in the UK xD it was pandora.com you were talking about?

sorry i forgot all about this lol! Control panel >> Hardware and Sound >> Manage Audio Devices >> Disable Independent Headphones < < that fixes the problem

Same problem with the Ultimate Collection: My solution that worked (under Win7). I openen Winamp-Player and started some music. Than I reduced the volume to zero. After that I started the game and had sound in it.

Just a small question but why don't you simply DEactivate your speakers?
In every windows it's actually pretty easy.
Right click on the little speaker in the corner of your taskbar.
Then you click "playback device" (is that the correct translation? google says yes..) and you get a list of all your speakers Windows knows.
Search the speakers, right click -> "deactivate"
voila. You will never have the problem again.

Wana hear something about speakers and not headphone?

i fixed it quite a while ago, for me it was whats been suggested above - its an issue with the mixer and devices that are set as default. without getting names of devices confused because they could be different dependant on other peoples systems - just enable and disable different ones.

using windows 10 with blue touch headphones on pc for som reason have no sound no spekers here

Modern headphones present in system as TWO audio devices: headphones and hand-free.
C&C 3 can use microphone for in-game communication and prefer use hands-free.
Windows however prefer use headphones.
Solution:
1) launch C&C 3 and Alt-Tab it
2) google 'Set Audio Output Device For Apps Individually' (russian: Параметры устройств и громкости приложений)
3) you see what C&C 3 use headphones for output and hands-free as input
4) set hand-free device both for input and output for C&C 3 only
