World Builder Installation Problem
I downloaded the World Builder form cnclabs.com. I extracted the files (there was only one file there, the application), clicked install and it said:

An error(-5004 : 0x80070005) has occured while running the setup.

Please make sure you have finished any previous setup and closed other applications. If the error still occurs, please contact your vendor: Electronic Arts.

How do I fix this or did I download the wrong file? If any of you guys know how to fix this problem please tell me. A step by step instruction would be really cool. Thanks

Is it in your games folder (The location of your games .exe)?

I dont remeber the exact way to fix it, but you will need to visit the regedit to fix your problem, google it up, I think you will find the answer very fast

I thought regedit was just some code, but thanks though :D

Nope, I extracted the WorldBuilder.exe file to the downloads folder. Am I like, supposed to put it somewhere else?

Go here: http://www.cnclabs.com/maps/cnc3/worldbuilder/ once downloaded extract by right clicking

2. Go to Windows Start type "run" in search box to find Run program

3. In Run type "regedit"

4. Then go here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Electronic Arts\Electronic Arts\Command and Conquer 3

5. Once there right click file InstallPath then click Modify... then put a \ at the end like so:

"c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\command and conquer 3 tiberium wars",

Will become:

When I go to \Wow6432Node\ the \Electronic Arts\ file doesn't show up. Is there a way in which I can type it? Or how does it show up?

it should show up, i dont have the wow6432node try looking for the EA folder in software..
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\Command and Conquer 3

Thanks, I saw it now but once I put a "\" at the end it will say:

"Cannot edit installpath: Error writing the values contents."

Oh and also, mine doesn't have the "(x86)" should I put this too? It's written as:
"C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars"

yeah where you have
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars

just add the \ on the end.

Make sure you are using the tiberium war map editor, not the kanes wrath editor.

Also it might be worth turning off UAC if you have it enabled, it might block you from editing the registry.

Sorry I'm a bit late at replying. I downloaded the cnc3 Map Editor but and got to the regedit. But whenever I try to put a slash on the end, a message pops up saying:

"Cannot edit installpath: Error writing the value's contents."

Is there anyway to fix this?
I have both Kane's Wrath and Tiberium Wars in my computer.

it might be worth checking your version does not say (Steam) in the path.
Other than that i can't help - usually it is the registry problem
