GDI?

The reinforcement spawns can be a pita to handle, so while hitting the docks with a airstrike is tempting, don't immedietly go off and do that.

The eastern 'line' into your base doesn't really need dedicated defenses - Just throw down a few foxholes , outer two with 2 missile squads each and the inner two sniper squads.

You'll want to push a surveyor into the upper tiberium field quickly and set up a defensive line there as quickly as you can - This line will be taking most of the attacks over the eastern line, so be ready ot set down a similar 3 foxholes - same units, though put them in a triangle with the snipers next being the rear point towards the field - and some stationary defenses. 4 guardians and 2 watchtowers (towers behind the missile foxholes, cannons on either side but slightly up from them so they'd draw enemy fire instead of the foxhole) would be able to handle most enemy attacks though it can still be overwhelmed by a reinforcement group.

When you do start a offensive push, have a group of orcas in reserve - Whenever enemy reinforcements spawn in, move them over the defensive lines to do some premptive damage to the units before they start attacking you.

Clearing out the docks area will get you 2 Mammoth Tank reinforcements - You can merge them into a attack force, though it might be useful to keep a couple of them near the center 'cliff' so they can move in to reinforce either the main or eastern defensive line as needed.

Edit - Couple tips for the next missions, for Cairo you'll want to get 2 groups of Orcas up immedietly to neutralize the nuke before it launches. Don't send them all out to hit the nuke when they are done though, you'll want to push them in slowly to take out the sam sites one at a time first.

I hate the Croatia mission, though it is rather simple. Don't bother reactivating the AA guns, just get foxholes with a missile squad behind each of the AA turrets.

As for the rest, you'll immedietly want to assemble a tank group to neutralize the north eastern base. 8 tanks in total should do it - Approach the base from the southern hill, target the two outer laser turrets and push into the base. Pop both turret hubs and the war factories. Then send in engineers to capture whats left. The mission seems annoyingly hard on paper, though quickly capturing this base makes it laughably easy.

This mission is actually very easy. If you think it's hard, just wait until you get to Croatia (GDI) or "Operation Stiletto" (Nod).

Anyway, just expand to the northern tib field as soon as you can (but don't send a surveyor up alone, at least send some infantry for defense as it will likely be attacked) and start spamming out Pedator or Mammoth tanks using at least 2 war factories (3 if you got enough money to produce from them all) to keep production up, then steamroll the Nod base from the docks. About 20 Predators or 5 Mammoth tanks should suffice to overwhelm it. Researching their railgun upgrade makes the whole ordeal even easier. If the infantry at the docks give you trouble, build a commando. This mission is simply a waiting game - defend until you have enough units, then bum rush Nod - done.

As for the already mentioned (tricky) Croatia mission - if you get stuck (which you likely will, seeing you're already finding the Alexandria mission hard), here's the plan: First of all, you have to know that there are 3 Nod bases. Each base only produces one specific kind of unit: infantry, vehicles or aircraft. The northern base is the tank base and should be taken first, the eastern base is a sole infantry base and the third one, the one to the south east, sends Venoms and Vertigos your way. With that in mind, start building Pitbulls while defending your base - they are great against Venoms and are also effective against the bike/buggy/Scorpion combo from the north. Using Pitbulls allows you to power down the AA batteries permanently, which is important because the Fanatics rushes from the infantry base are annoying and those turrets are just much more effective in killing off infantry than foxholed riflemen are. Attack the northern tank base first, but don't destroy it - capture their tech buildings and start building flame tanks. Flame tanks make killing off the eastern infantry base and clearing out the city so much easier. If you're going for the bonus objective (GDI MCV loses no health after the rescue), bring your flame tanks when fighting through the city towards the MCV. After you get control over the MCV, Nod infantry will spawn in the city which can easily be disposed off by the flame tanks - even more so if they hide out in empty structures, and they will be. The only remaining base will be their air base, which is on top of a plateau and can only be reached by your aircraft or by calling in a transport for your tanks. I advise strongly against attacking the air base with aircraft because the AI usually parks a LOT of Venoms next to its air towers who can shred any of your own aircraft in seconds - especially after the AI bothered to upgrade laser capacitors, which it will at some point. Also, there are Stealth tanks hidden out at the base - again, another reason why not to use aircraft. Just send a mix of Predator/APC or, even better, Predator/Stealth tanks up when you have enough or use a surveyor for attaining build radius and place a (Nod) war factory right up there (I say "Nod" because Nod is simply better at bum rushing - bike/buggy spam should actually be enough for this base). At one point, you will have enough to overwhelm the third base - here's your victory.

Actually I beat Alexandrai with like 20 tanks xD

thanks for the tips on Croatia though!

I've never done Crotia on hard, so my method might not work as well though it still relies on capturing the armor base asap.

I actually use aircraft over armor for the last two bases since I tend to pop the two war factories.

As already recommended, foxholes with missile squad behind the AA guns for AA defense. As Silent said earlier, rifle foxholes aren't the most effective thing for holding out against fanatic rushes but it's still worthwhile to put a hole and two squads in the center of the southern entrance and one the the left of the lower tower on the western entrance just to supplument them.

Capture the armor base as outlined in my first post, get three air towers, research laser capaciators, build some Venoms - 10 or so should do - and 3 groups of Vertigos. You'll have 3 tiberium fields to draw from after taking this base, so resources shouldn't be a problem. Toss in a couple SAM hubs for defense.

I hit the infantry base with a 10 strong Venom group and clear it out minus the MCV which gets captured. The occupied building can be cleared by the Venoms since they'll have lasers now though you'll likely loose a few venoms in the process or you can hit the buildings with Vertigo Bombers.

I tend to dance the defenses at the airbase. Whack the sam hubs with the Vertigos, having my Venom group stay on the edge of the cliff to take out persuing Venoms. After the outer hubs are gone, I generally sacrafice my remaining Venoms to kill the Stealth Tanks. With the defenses gone, the base is easy pickings for Vertigo bombings runs.

Operation Stiletto is not hard, neither enemy will attack your engineers, even on hard difficulty, so just make a bunch of engineers and put one next to each structure you need to capture once every structure has an engineer next to it, start capping. It is so easy, the easiest mission out of the whole game(even GDI prologue is harder)

just do a lot of exo, rocket soldier and APC
if you have the time, do some engineer if you like capturing the enemy's technology

Get multiple factories and tanks and orcas.
