How to play to the 1,00-1.08 version of the command and Conquer 3 in steam

The 1.09 version almost ruined the campaign mode, i'm as a stupid RTS game player, medium difficulty can only be reached Sarajevo, I cannot be passed after this, and I use -runver 1.X, but was unable to enter the game.
The campaign mode can not play now, nobody and I for versus mode....

--> got 1.0 dat from gamecopyworld
--> I got the 1.0 folder in the RetailExe folder that contains the same stuff as the 1.9 with exception of the cnc3game.dat
--> added a copy of CNC3_english_1.9.SkuDef, renamed the compy to 1.0 and replaced all 1.9 with 1.0

Can someone put a step by step in layman terms on how to do this? I tried but I barely understand.

EDIT: never mind I got it. I replaced the 1.9 to 1.0 in all folders. Moved over the files from the rar RetailExe 1.0 folder and replaced everything there. In the "RetailExe" folder, I changed the 1.9 folder to say 1.0, then said yes to everything when the computer asks you if you want to replace or rename. It works.

Holy ♥♥♥♥, seeing the difference in 1.9 to 1.0 is astounding on how much they broke the campaign in comparison.

Tbf 1.0 on medium now feels too easy but my god the unit changes they did in 1.9 wtf

1.4 is the last patch that considered the campaign. All patches beyond messed with units for PvP balance that impacted the campaign severely. Just an FYI if you dont want to go super vanilla. I think 1.4 might have been the patch for Kane's Wrath and why its the last 'good' one.
