just finished Croatia mission..holy crap
what a brutal mission! but i kept at it and figured it out, getting all secondary objectives too. my overall strategy:

- general tip: SAVE A LOT
- repair/power everything like crazy while producing as many units as you can to defend.
- once 5min is up, do NOT immediately go for the rescue. keep on defending and building up an army!!
- i had around 10-15 predator tanks, then i took out the north-east base. i took ALL my units tho, so i let my base fall. but without the NE base, they can't harass you from it with vehicles! makes the rest of the mission a lot easier (still a long ways to go...)
- after taking out the NE base, then i went for the rescue. do NOT let suicide bombers get to the MCV. keep it close to your clump-o-tanks.
- also, protip: the flamethrower dudes SUCK. if they're near your tanks, just RUN THEM OVER. best way.
- now take back the base area, then build up ASAP. now you only need to worry about infantry attacking from the south-west! a couple of turrets with your army should be plenty to defend. have some missile squads to defend against air - the SE base is still there.
- now things are relatively easy, and you can relax and just build up fully. get a BUNCH of mammoth tanks, upgrade rail guns, then you can probably take out the SW base.
- for the SE base, i used zone troopers to get to the plateau and take our SAMs. then, orcas to sneak in for the buildings.

that was a LOOONNNGG difficult mission, but very satisfying once i did it! cheers to this game for being still quite awesome after so many years!

Why did you bother with mammoth tanks or railguns. These are the least efficient options for this mission. If you need help playing the campaign with the nerfed economy thanks to awful decisions by EA don't hesitate to ask. The missions will still be hard but you won't at least be fighting yourself in terms of winning the mission.

You can rush down the vehicle base at the start of the map. Their anti-infantry in general sucks, so a handful of missile squads and engineers can completely shut them down.

Shoutouts to the dev that decided the player shouldn't have access to grenades, and spawned a bunch of missile squads to immediately garrison the city buildings when you rescue the MCV

what do you mean about the nerfed economy?

what would you rec instead of mammoth tanks? i guess i didn't need to - but at that point, there's no time pressure, so i just built up what i wanted for a sure bet.

The latest patch reduced your income by roughly 50%. The AI's production rate during campaign missions remains the same.

As for vehicles to produce. Thanks to the economy changes. You should just stick to predators and apcs. They're faster and do roughly the same damage as a mammoth (the mammoth technically has way more HP and higher burst damage but its extremely slow speed and the AI having infinite money makes it a really bad idea to pump out mammoths)

If this is the defense mission, what I did was rush the war factory base before rescuing the MCV convoy. Capture the factories, build an army of flame tanks and shut down the infantry base.

With 2 bases down, the airbase should be easy.

arsenal and airbase for most missions is pointless also dont bother wit pitbulls go for missle+apcs instead and dont buy any upgrades except the ones ya need also aways sell walls and useless buildings if ya can
