Bear in mind that thanks to the 1.09 patch you'll have to play more conservatively and aim to destroy major targets (factories, barracks any unit producing structures) sooner rather than later.
Rail Preds absolutly roll anythin that mission and they are dirt cheap, get like 30-40 plus some bmts and ur set.
The thing is prepatch one tib field was literally all you needed to start a tank spam which would then cascade until you owned the remaining fields.
micro management is key.
save after every enemy encounter.
load after u suffer any losses
keep all ur ground units within the crater, soak up attacks and level up to heroic.
Dead units is a waste of funds and experience.
1) send rig and m tanks to cover the slope beside the tib field. deploy rig with m tanks infront and within range battle base repair drones, facing the slope. this is the KILLZONE. every thing that enters from this slope DIES!!
2) send p tanks to cover the slope directly ahead of where u start "north east"
3) send rifles and z troops to cover the last slope"north"
4) deploy MCV in the center of crater. build refinary near tib field.
*Important*
5)build war factory near to slope in (2) park p tanks infront of WF. this is another KILLZONE.
6) train 1 more harvester and 4 APCs. load rifles and z troops into apcs and cover the north slope.
7) tech up and train another rig, send to the north slope. deploy and heal the APCs. this is another KILL ZONE
8) tech up and train 4 more Mtanks. send 1 to the SE slope and keep 3 at the NE slope. Ptanks can be retired to moddle of base. research rail guns next.
9) train another apc and a commando. load commando into APC and keep him handy. this is for dealing with enermy infranty entering NE and SE KILLZONES.
10) build 4 AA guns. make sure the entire parameter of the crater is covered. train 2 more apcs and load grenade squard into them. keep them safe at the rear of the base with the buggies.
11)build 1 airfield and train 4 firehawks. AA loadouts. use the them to kill aircrafts.
12) once Mtanks are heroic, send them to the North killzone to deal with any enemy vehicles.
*important*
when facing avatars, exit commando from APC, and let him run around to distract the avatars. the avatar's lasers are next to useless agains the commando. let the mtanks do the killing and level up.
once all units (12 m tanks, 5 apcs with 2 rifles, 2 z troop and 1 commando )are heroic,
we can then attack.
13) send 3 mtanks and commando APC to the most easten obelisk. use the mtanks to destroy obelisk. use APC to bait the enemies out, and trigger the commando/ avatar objective. keep your walkers safe in the middle of your crater base.
14)once objective completed, move your 3 mtanks and commando apc into the base and wipe out all enemies and units. keep secondary objective buildings intact. u can also use firehawks to bomb other obelisk once all airtowers destroyed
15) once all hostile structures are destroyed, train engineers to capture 3 secondary objectives.
16) build ion cannon and complete mission.
Mission can be completed on hard with Zero losses.
Load and save and micromanage.
grouping units with shortcuts is a very usefultool.
