go into windows/settings/display/graphics
chose the game
set everything to high performance.
this fixes ctd and many other problems for games around this time period including but not limted to fallout 3 and nv and a bunch more.
i would try that.
and how do I adjust that? (not a tech geek here) lol
What operating system are you using and what Graphics card do you have?
NVIDIA GeForce MX330
Right click your desktop. Select display settings. At the bottom of the new window select graphics settings. Ensure the menu says desktop app and then click browse, find the exe for the C&C3 game and set the settings to high performance.
Already set that up and the same error message still pops up.
huh then I am out of ideas.
Already downloaded the latest version of that. Still didn't do anything. Same error
Right click on the game within steam. Properties. In the Launch Options section where you can type in something. Type in -win
This boots it in windows.
This should boot it, or at least make progress by booting the game in a smaller window.
Once it's loaded, it'll ask you to enter your Username. Enter it. Then it'll load the main screen.
Once that's done, close the game.
Go to C:\Users\(whatever your profile name is)\appdata\roaming\Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\profiles\(whatever your profile name is)
Then open up the options file.
Change the resolution to whatever is recommended for your PC.
I have a 4K laptop, so mine is 3840 2160
Save the file.
And that should fix the issue if you were getting the DirectX 9.0 error message.
Found it on another forum, so whoever posted that, I owe you my life.
