ERROR IN EXCEPTION HANDLER-Please help
Ok, so...ive started this discussion to see if i can get help for a major bug ive encountered. My laptop used to run this game completely fine, but recently-after a whoie list of stuff happening which i'll get to later-its refused to run the game, or simply launched the game, then closed it with a box saying-as the title says- 'Error in exception handler'

Now, first off, heres my laptop's specs:
Windows 8.1
6 Gb ram (5.88 usable)
Intel Core i5-4200U CPU @ 1.60GHz 2.30GHz
64 bit OS

Now for what happened to it:
So my USB ports started malfunctioning-as they do after a while-so acer replaced the motherboard in an attempt to fix them-ok, great so then what? Well, what happened was that the USB ports were fixed...unfortunately ACER had put a FAULTY motherboard in-not so great. So after about two months of acer skrewing me over as i attempted to get a refund-dont waste your time btw-they replaced the motherboard and the SSD (for those of you who dont know what an SSD is its basically a faster hard drive)

Ive tried updating the drivers as well as other things, such as running the game in compatibility mode, but nothings worked. ive verified the cache, and even re-installed the game half a dozen times-no dice. Nothings worked of course, so now i turn to you, dear reader, hoping like mad that i didnt waste my money on a game i can no longer play.

So thats my story with this whole thing. Please leave your suggestions if you think anything will work. thanks. and sorry this is such a long message.

Hmm
ive noticed there are a few missing files in my case-files that are supposed to appear during the install or at least upon the game launching in the 'documents' tab of file explorer...maybe thats the problem :\
although i think those files are mainly for saves there could be something missing...hmm
Any ideas?

Here is what I've found from other discussions and what I can suggest myself:
- run compatibility troubleshooter in the program properties
- check 'run as administrator' in the program properties
- add it to your firewall as 'always allow'
- run it with a different graphic processor
- try an older version of your graphics drivers (for example one guy fixed it by going to driverscape.com, then Intel, then Graphic Video Cards, then Intel(R) HD 5000, then looked for version 10.18.10.3643.)
- apparently https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25188/Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-64bit-3rd-Gen-BYT- is another driver that worked for someone
- try the old c&c DirectX drivers (for example someone found them located at Steam\steamapps\common\Command and Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars\DirectX\DXSETUP.exe)
- if you cant find that setup file for DirectX or it doesnt work, this link might work too https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109
- last resort, go to https://help.ea.com/au/contact-us/new/?product=cc-3-tiberium-wars&platform=pc&category=technical-support
