Updates in 2020
I was wondering, now that EA is publishing games on Steam again and with the upcoming release of Command & Conquer Remastered, does anyone think we can expect them to roll out updates for C&C 3, Kane's Wrath and RA 3 that will let us play them on Windows 10 at 1080p?

C&C 3 and RA 3 worked fine on my old laptop with Windows 7 years ago. Then I installed C&C 3 on my new laptop, when I tried to change the resolution the game crashed.

Would love it if they do, but I highly doubt it as C&C Zero Hour and other C&C games only work for a handful of people on Origin and that's there own platform.

It needs patches to make it fully work with windows 7/10 and people have been asking EA to update them games for years to no success

C&C 3 and RA 3 work fine for me on win 10.

C&C 3 does crash when i change the resolution to 1080p but if i launch the game again after changing the resolution settings it appears to have saved them properly and runs fine from there.

And now it doesn't run for me at all. The splash screen appears, it disappears, and nothing happens.

far as Im aware you have to manually change the resolution in the file. Might be a guide in the guides tab for it.

I maybe very late to the discussion since I dont often open up steam, but I just recently witness EA selling the other CnC games, for me mostly CnC generals and zero hour, renegade, an entire collection for only $7 USD.
But then I noticed I had to update the games I already had so I ask, what were the updates? Are there update notes? It seems to be very odd, unless its an update that isn't worth anything.

Ok wow, I just noticed this is a discussion from 2020. I am speaking from the year 2024.

Just launched the game, did a fresh install. It literally just worked out of the box. Win11. All settings maxed out, highest resolution. No crashes!

So EA basically just made the C&C games playable on modern hardware, that's all?
