Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars™

Issues Hosting a LAN game
I have been itching to play this game recently, I used to have LAN parties with my friends but now that everyone is in quarantine I am trying to use a virtual LAN, specifically ZeroTier One. I use it for other games and it works great, but I can't seem to get it to work with CnC 3.

Issue:
We can see each other in the starting screen when we are choosing the map but are unable to join the game, we get the 'Network Timed Out' error.

Troubleshooting:
>First I tried shutting all the firewalls and anti-virus protections off on both ends with no success.
>I found that the ports used by the game on some website and made a rule in the firewalls,
TCP: 28910,29900-29901
UDP: 13139,27900,65000
>I played with a bunch of settings in ZeroTier One such as private vs public servers
>Confirmed that all parties were able to ping each others IP addresses in the cmd

So far no luck but, this has gotten so annoying its become personal haha, I need to figure this out, any ideas? I would appreciate some insight. There doesn't seem to be much information available online on the issue that I have seen.

Thanks!

After some time I ended up coming to the same conclusion, thank you. Also, I am using a hotspot most of the time which doesn't work with C&C Online, but the workaround to that is to use a VPN if anyone is curious.

Also if you are using a hotspot and don't want to pay for a VPN, sometimes you can bridge your connection with your ethernet internal router even if its not plugged in. Little tricky but it worked for me.

Only EA can make a game which creates "bots" in a lobby (I really do not know how to call it otherwise). Basically, if your mate is hosting a room in LAN, very often you won't be able to join their room because the room willl be full. Room will be full because even though you're not in, your friend will see your name in their lobby and thinking you're already there. They'll be asking you to hit "ready" and never get any response because you are not in their room, but game shows your name there as if you are in the room and your name appearing there prevents you from joining.

Also, while I do not know what causes this, game will simply kick most people from the game lobby in LAN if you do not write anything for 15-20 seconds. Simply kicks one for being inactive. So to prevent this one spams random stuff in lobby every 10 seconds, like this:
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
One dot every few seconds. Just so you do not get kicked.

Gameplay-wise though, by far the best game I've ever seen in my life.
