Managed to find an outdated patch file on moddb. In case anyone doesn't wanna play the butchered version 1.10

how do you install it? ive never downgraded a game to an earlier patch =X

I cant remember how I did it. There should be some guides other places online, I'd imagine you could replace the files with it, then play the game while offline so it doesn't force you to update?
