Inactive mod community
Is there an active mod community or forum for C&C 3? Forums like CNCLabs and moddb seem to be dead or very inactive and it seems most of them are focused on Generals and RA2.

Tiberium Essence, appartently will receive a 2.0 Update, which has been announced since 2014, but at the beginning this year he released more pictures of the work.
The SAGE engine seems to be pretty versatile and I like to think modders in general worth their salt (and know a great deal more than I do) could at least point me in the right direction in what kind of programs to get for modeling other than 3DSMax since I can't exactly drop 3k down for a software program I may only use once. I'll learn C&C 3 architecture like I did with Generals and RA2 through trial and error.

Tiberium Essence 2.0 with mutants faction. I have strong believes and hopes of thousands that its solid Beta shall be released on (this year's) christmas :D
1 year of waiting..so much for... "Soon" :-)

TE is on Revora CnC:Online under custom maps/custom mods 1.
There shall be grand tournament with such an opportunity me and my friend are planning.

Does anyone know there is a way to import Blender models into C&C 3 or does it all have to be through 3DSMAX?

I was about to say that ModDB is a great source, but you are right that the community there really focus on Generals. I wouldn't know of any better place other than that. Well, there is also CnC Labs. They have one mod called The Forgotten for C&C 3, as well as mods for other C&C games. That's all I got. I'm looking for places as well.

Yes, Commander CabeoC is correct, Commander Ironsides the Immortal.
As for importing er.."blenders" you say? as model CNC3.
Well, its S.A.G.E engine and Mod SDK is..first somewhat unfriendly with Windows 10 and yes it does work pretty much only with 3DSMax.
I would contact guys from TFM mod who are working on TSR and Tiberium Secrets now, such are Egozi44, CommieDog, etc.
You can contact them on C&C Mod Haven and on Tiberium Secrets Discord channel.
BTW: There shall be update on TFM with buffing Fissure Tank and Slicer, getting range upgrade buff and Fissure tanks projectile is being changed into small bomblets splash supcom UEF and Seraphim-like T1 artillery; right now.
There is also PPM community if ToxicShock from Revora:cnc-online himself is not enough for you.
Fortunately for me I still use Windows 7 like the good boomer that I am.

TFM and Tiberium Secrets teams on moddb both seem to be inactive and Revora forums are next to useless and would rather be pretentious than helpful.

The options look limited at this point.

Its not completely dead.

Though I'm speaking as the creator of the Kane's Wrath Mod Tiberium Dusk.

There's still people around creating stuff, it just takes a lot of time and effort because Tib Wars / Kane's Wrath is a difficult game to mod to say the least.

I would love to play though the Tib Wars Campaign with the KW 1.0 tech/units. I would be happy with 'cutting and pasting' the units, buildings and tech tree so the campiagn would still just be GDI and NOD no subfactions, I just love the KW upgrades and having fun with EPIC units. I realise it would be a bit unbalanced but still. How would I go about doing this ? How difficult would this be?

A pain, because Kane's Wrath is running on a different / updated version of Sage Engine with new schemas.

People have converted units over though and there are already mods that do that, its just that they're rarely a 1:1 conversion and have their differences in functionality.

You're probably better off converting the Tiberium Wars campaign maps into Kane's Wrath custom missions, though that's less well documented. :P
