If the incomplete EGS patch released on Feb 16 was superior, just imagine how much better the official patch will be after a several more weeks of work.

It was the best option... two weeks ago as an immediate response to the mistake.

They either didn't realize over all this time or decided to just hope no one noticed. Again... incompetence.

Beta branch with EGS version and at least hotfixes is the best option until proper public update.

Oh I agree, but the proper course for damage control was a quick patching of the game to make the EGS version the same.

There would still have been a stink from EGS users about how they got what appeared like a better version and then had it yoinked, but everyone would be on the same playing field... so to speak.
