Save game deleted

I've already spent several hours in the game... now my son accidentally pressed my reset button on the PC while I was playing.
So far so usual.
Now my PC restarted and suddenly ALL SAVE DATA from 3 days gone. As if I had never started the game, he asked me if I agreed to the terms and conditions.
I had saved at the beginning of every level... nothing left.
What can I do? Is there a way to restore my saves?

Do you have save cloud on or off. I don't know if this game supports save clouds.

Okay I tried to check the local files but you want to check it though seems odd I can't find a folder except Data though someone mention %DataApp%. So I can't help you there which I tried. I have restrictions thanks to Steam update year before and prevent me from corrupting save files from Prema games that don't have a deletion feature(only restricts family mode).

I am not sure if Steam Client helps at all either. However Steam Cloud should have past history of save data somewhere but I would look on YoutTube for a solution as well as %AppData% to find the save stored there which will lead you to the right direction.

The same thing happened to me! I finished TR1 and the expansion, and I was halfway through 2. I was playing normally last night, then we had a power break in the house. When I tried to play again, the game opened as if it was the first time, and my saves were gone. I haven't been able to fix it yet.

you ever end up recovering that save? same exact thing happened to me but with TR3, I thought I was crazy as the other 2 games still have my saves.

I downloaded an outfit for lara its from legend and i accidentally copy and paste all the outfits that replaces the legend outfit for all outfits that i just unlocked by beating TR1R. I had to download the remastered again and i want to know do my save data levels get deleted or are they backup from cloud? I wanna do a TR1 Rando and i don't want my levels to get deleted.

The cloud save is active by default. It should save your levels progress. I understand from your question that you already reinstalled TR Remastered. If the levels were to be lost, I think they would be already from the reinstall. You might as well start the game and check.

Keep your game saves backed up just in case this is a game from the 1990's and we always did that because we could easily loose them.

You should find the save file in C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\TRX you'll see both the savegame.dat and the steam_autocloud.vdf files but i think you only need the savegame.dat file.

It's in a bit of a weird place so just go to C:\Users\User and then click the file location bar at the top of the folder and start typing \ after the file location and you should see AppData in the list straight away and click it. Then i guess pin the TRX file to quick access.

If your game saves disappeared from there too the you'll just have to start the game again, but in future keep it backed up in a Game Saves folder for all older games, i tend to put that in Documents for easy access.
