Just for anyone's case this Remaster is based on PC versions.
Yes you are playing the PC versions not the PS1/PSX versions because of the sound effects being missing which are only from the PS1/PSX version.

Hoping for a optional feature patch to listen to legit sounds that were from the PS1.

What sound effects are missing? It has the PS1 music cues and also new game plus adds the crystals back too.

There are no missing sounds.

i'm on steam version i have not come across anything that is missing. it incorporates both music cues (PSX) and ambience (PC) OG tracks. Sound effects of enemies, traps, switches, doors, everything are all present in my game from what I have played so far

for some reason I have in my mind that if you pick up something there was a sound, I might be remembering wrong, but that is the only thing I'm "missing" personally ( pc version )

This was only in TR2 she goes "aha" and it's still in the remasters

that might be it ;) , it's been years since I've played the games, but indeed I started again with 1, and no I'm not going to try and install my original cd of tomb raider to see the difference xD .

thanks for the reply.

The lighting is from the PC version though which was brighter than the PS1 version.

Seems to be a mix of multiple versions content and even backports some new effects from later games.

That depended on tv types and settings. Run psx on modern emulators and it tends to be brighter than old crts.

These where remastered by TR fans, so I doubt they would of overlooked the PS1 SFX.

Speaking of which, where are the sound effects for the mummies and Atlanteans when they explode?
