Appreciated but nah, didn't help, seems as though that person is just having trouble playing over it being a glitch since I can make that jump on TR3 original, installed it specifically to try so not just me being rubbish at controlling Lara.
I've literally just restarted the level and tried it again, loaded up my original Tomb Raider III game on steam and the exact long jump and grab works every time on there, just not in the remaster.
I 100% think it's a bug.
I'll try and upload a janky video of what I mean in a bit.
Video of me performing the jump in the remaster unsuccessfully and successfully in Tomb Raider 3.
It might be a bug with the remaster, but try this tactic to see if it works
OP can you try it this one way please, that is hang off the edge next to to secret room and climb up and do a roll and try the run and jump exactly from there.
Im testing it and i'm finding i consistently don't grab if i'm facing even slightly to the left or right
Thank you, that actually worked, I can continue playing now. :D
It's weird though, no matter how straight I align myself after walking to the edge, it won't work. I definitely think something has been changed in the remaster and is affecting it. I guess there is less error acceptance to how close Lara is when grabbing perhaps..
Really appreciate the help, ty!
Yeah I kind of recall now having trouble with one of these jumps after this secret, I'm totally perplexed though having no trouble on the original and finding it impossible without your technique on remaster. Thankfully if I come across this again, I know what to do courtesy of you, thanks again! All the best! :)
I manage to find a way to make the secret 4 jump.
Don't walk to the edge and hop back.
Hang in the cliff/ledge, climb, roll, and run. She is always grabbing for me with this technique.
(I think hanging there she will be pixel perfect straight.)
