Its not the problem of the number but of to get them
You could just have fun playing the game until you get to know the game properly and then start collecting everything which you'll be able to do a lot faster. Personally i like to watch videos to collect all the secrets because it also shows me where to go.
When you finish the game do you have a level selector?
All in all, I doubt I'll be getting all (269 is a bit too much) but I'm kinda glad they are there. They give the remasters far more replayability and the chosen art for them is great so far. Love the one for finishing the tutorial!
No most tomb raider games don't have a level selector Legend doesn't either. It's something we really want though :P. For now just save it at the start of a level or some place where you may need more practise at a particularly difficult part of where you may slip up.
Well, there is -kind of- a level selector. As long as you keep at least one save for any particular level, you can load it, get Lara killed and instead of loading choose Restart Level. The level skip can also help.
Also keep in mind it's three games and three expansions.
And while there's a lot, I don't actually see any that are just complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to do.
I managed to get a total of 45 achievements without being so thorough and found that a lot of them made sense while others were 100% planned with replayability on mind. Although not the type of forcing you to do stupid stuff, but rather trying some challenges for the sake of it. For this first playthrough I went with "saving less than 86 times" and "only use Lara's pistols" and... Damn, that was rough lol but pretty damn f*cking rewarding at the same time!
Furthermore, a lot of achievements can be easily get by saving before traversing certain areas and then reload a previous save. Specially the ones that requires you to die (that goes without saying), speaking of which... The one for finding the 36 ways to die is easy. I found 20 of them and I'm pretty sure the missing ones were for dying to certain enemies or getting killed by traps I didn't die with (like the darts).
All in all, I can't complain. It's definitely more fun than fetching Rise of the Tomb Raider's.
