NO SOUND

Hi, I see some discussions talking about this issue but no solutions. I bought this a couple days ago on Epic game store, no sound. Refunded and got it today on steam. Still no sound. Other games work perfectly fine, it's just this one.

Is there any solution to this or some kind of a workaround. Like access a .ini files or whatnot? Help!! I really want to play this remaster.

Hello,

It might help to post all your pc specs and operating system.
Without any kind of information it's not really easy to support you.

Do you have the possibility to switch between soundcard and onboard sound?
Have you tried connecting headphones to the pcs front jack?

yes i have two main outputs I use for sounds. I use both back jack output for headphone and front for the speaker. Neither works unfortunately. Not sure what the issue is. I have the original TR1 on steam and even that one works fine.

I reinstalled the windows 11 as upgrade and it fixed it. For anyone else having the similar problem. Followed this guide to NOT reset the windows but keep all the and fix/restore system files.

I had no sound with Soul Reaver, Tomb Raider 1-2-3, and Chasm the Rift remasters and this FINALLY fixed it:

“No Sound Fix Guide :D
I had no sound at all when I first installed this so heres my guide that might work for you.

Download CodecTweakTool_673.

Install > Run the program > Go To General > Under General Click, "Fixes" at the top left. > Check all the boxes > Apply & Close > Box Will Close > Fixes Are Being Applied At This Point > Then Launch Game

PS the above fix, fixes Tomb Raider 4-5-6 as well.
