M/K controls question
I am trying out tank controls vs modern controls with mouse and keyboard. I don't know how anyone can play with tank controls with keyboard and mouse as it does not feel intuitive at all, like you cannot use mouse to look around unless you press a button to look around, but when using a controller with tank controls, the right joystick is used to look around..... doesn't really make sense.

Either way, the main issue I ran into is, when using modern controls, I mapped the action button (which seems to be the shoot guns button), to the right click like any other shooter. However, when I press the right click to pull out my guns and then do left click nothing happens and when I let go of right click the guns get put away. This does not happen on tank controls as the right and left click function as they should.

Is there something I am missing here? I would love to play with keyboard and mouse but if tank control are a must then I may just have to resort to controller.

You don't need the mouse for anything if you're using tank controls. You don't control where you aim at because the games auto-target the nearest enemy, and you control the camera with the same keys you move Lara, but while holding "Look" button. Can't speak for everyone, but to me Tank controls in these games has allways been literally just keyboard on PC.

Modern controls require holding RMB to be able to shoot, as it's emulating how shooters work. In classic controls you just need to touch the key/button to toggle between weapons in and weapons out modes like it allways was in the original games.

With the modern controls I think I realized my issue, the left mouse click seems to be hard coded to shooting and I binded the action key to it when I should have used E instead. Therefore when clicking before the game thought I was pressing action. I don't know that I can play this game with tank controls even though it was designed with them, it's way too slow and janky feeling.
