Cheers!
Aspyr/Sabre will never be able to create a full blown remake of AoD ressembling the original vision without the devs and all the notes from 1999-2003, much less allowed to do all that.
AoD's unfinished situation is a lot more dire than Sonic 06, where in that latter one I can imagine only a few levels were missing and the script was only partially meddled with.
It's. . . part of its own trilogy already. The Last Revelation, Chronicles, then Angel of Darkness. Then there's the Crystal Dynamics Trilogy and then the reboot trilogy.
I wonder "what trilogy" is that that I dont know...
It is TR 4, TR 5 (finishing the 5 first games with the Lara Croft story) and AoD as standalone game.
Best case scenario the remaster turns AoD into something liked and popular and we get a Tomb Raider 7 that ditches Legends/Underworld continuity and acts as a direct sequel to AoD... but chances of that are like 0.01%
Did you see the news with Amazon accident leak yet because if not they leaked the Legends Remaster Trilogy and Aspyr wasn't happy. Though I am hoping there is a touch series in the works later which for those games is like more of a 0.001%.
Otherwise it's against ToS.
