TR3: Modern controls and lowering down the ledge from the crawl position?
Hi,
Lara must be turned backward to lower herself down the ledge while crawling. Is it possible in modern controls? I couldn't have do this and had to set controls to "tank" for this single action. Not fun at all.

You need to use the badly explained "Secondary" button, that combines Jump and Action (and some other stuff I think), so hold "Secondary" as you approach a ledge and she'll lower herself to grab it.

You also want to use "Secondary" when you want to edge grab from a jump.

For those who do not know how to do the movements with the modern controls, I leave you this link:

As many of you know, modern controls can be more comfortable in many situations, but there are movements that require the activation of weapons and others such as rotation and lateral movement that are not available.

Additionally, the back jump during weapon activation requires a rest state and is a pain when enemies attack you and you are frantic.

There are many people who in different forums commented that it would be nice to use the D-pad to use the tank controls and the joystick for modern controls. In the link that I have given you there is a suggestion option. If you are interested in having the option of using the crosshead as a tank and the joystick as a modern control, you can write in the suggestions. If there are many of us, maybe they will listen to us.

PD: You can back stepwalk pressing weapon + walk + joystick or dpad down. You can do a grid back jump pressin weapon + joystick or dpad down

Appreciate you reposting this but you need to fix up that link as it doesn't work in any of your posts. You don't need the auth_token stuff, it's just this: https://support.aspyr.com/hc/en-us/articles/23948827137549-Modern-Controls-Overview-Tomb-Raider-I-III-Remastered

I think I've tried to do this, but did not work. Later I will try again. It's hilarious how something which should make the game more pleasant just made it more annoying, TBH.

Holding the WALK button to crouch backwards works for me. On PC the default is Alt.
