Is it even possible to finish the game just with modern control ?
You lose so much movement abilities with this setting which become necessary the further you get into the game. The biggest joke is you can't even finish the tutorial (laras house) with it because you can't climb out of the water.
I noticed earlier, that you have on modern control auto grab, which already felt meh, because it would trivialize all climbing at all. The really bad thing about it is that you can't even do a long grab jump, because interact doesn't work while jumping and as said earlier also not working while swimming.

I'm gonna try just for the lols, since I have already played this game many times since I was a kid, this will be just a new challenge and later I'll give my review on steam.

Use right trigger to grab with modern controls

You can do every move with modern controls including getting out of the water, stepping backwards and doing long grab jumps.
The only thing that's not possible afaik is sidestepping.
Took me a moment to get used to it but I much prefer the modern controls.

You need to hold left mouse click to grab when jumping or getting out of the water. Some movements only work when you hold right click on your mouse to aim with your weapons to to da jumping roll.
It is really annyoing... made it to level 4 already with modern controls but I have to save after every tiny jump I made. So press F5 to save and when you fail the jump F9 to quick load again.

ah ok just thought because action is binded to E this would be the the button to use cause it was told in the tutorial that you have to press action key in the air, but now it's my gun key a different action key ^^

You can just remap everything to whatever you're comfortable with, including mouse buttons
