Nonsensical painting in Croft Manor?

Heya,
there is a huge painting in the main hall of Croft Manor (under the staircase, opposite to the entrance) that, upon closer inspection, seems to me completely nonsensical.

Its weird but its really this way. (maybe the heads are supposed to be behind them?).

Crazy! Maybe this Georg Stubbs was a Time Traveller created it with AI and then painted it again back in his own Time!

Good find! The foal on the left looks somewhat deformed to me, but it is what it is.
