Anything censored/changed?
The Destroy All Humans remaster was said to be unchanged as well. Turns out they removed a side quest that was supposedly "transphobic." I refunded it when I found out. Anything censored in these remasters?

The image of Pierre's jacket was censored (woman is not nude anymore but wears a bikini.)

They claimed that the game is not censored. Ergo, they lied no matter how minuscule the censorship was.

Ever since I knew about that, I was never able to sleep well at night. They completely ruined these remasters...

Pierre's jacket was toned down (apparently, I wouldn't have ever noticed), but I've seen nothing else cut out. I don't even think Pierre's jacket was intentional, the original logo was like five pixels so the artist probably started over from scratch.

Definitely intentional - if you saw the original up close it was obvious despite the low resolution textures, plus they've kept the overall design very similar otherwise.

What I find amusing about it is that the remasters have now been rated Mature (rather than the originals that were Teen), which allows some degree of nudity. Had the games been rated Teen then I'd understand it, though I suppose it's possible they were aiming at a Teen rating for the game and didn't get it. Not sure why it isn't Teen rated actually, perhaps the increased levels of blood in the remastered visuals have taken care of that.

I mean, I finished TR1 and the Atlantis levels were horrific and Palace Midas was covered in 4k nude men, so I dunno lol

Ratings aren't fixed, they change overtime all the time, generally they go up one not down, e.g. the original jurassic park was re-rated 12a recently after being PG for 30 years. https://www.bbfc.co.uk/about-us/articles/what-you-need-to-know-about-jurassic-park

The Last of Us 2 can show a dude banging another dude from behind but God forbid hey show a picture of a topless woman for 0.1 seconds in Tomb Raider.

Strangely, the murals in Greece have fully exposed "man parts" - those also were "censored" in the original simply through the resolution being so low you couldn't tell if they were supposed to be nude or covered with a leaf or something.

Considering that in Core Design's own games they ended up replacing the image on Pierre's jacket with an eagle, I think they were originally trying to stretch what would fly under the radar and with the increased prominence of Tomb Raider that just wasn't a thing they could get away with even in the 90s anymore.

And since they added an actual free roam HD Photo Mode in this version + releasing it on platforms that would definitely frown on it, this was the least they had to do to have it acceptable at all.

That is true, they did change it for Chronicles. Seems that Chronicles was rated Teen as well, perhaps the ESRB had picked up on the original jacket at a later date so the developers knew they couldn't get away with it a second time. And you're right, even with a Mature rating now perhaps some platforms wouldn't be impressed if they saw it anyway.

How would you know she was nude from the 2 pixels?

Honestly, you're better served with buying the remasters on Gog, because who knows if they update the game later and add censorship without your permission.

I have thought of this possibility. I decided that regardless of the platform, I'm going to wait for a sale.

All the people who justify censorship are always screaming about book banning in places that aren't banning them, just removing graphic novels and other sexual stuff that can't be read in a school board meeting from the school's libraries.

The people who scream book banning and talking about book burning like the nazis, are the most pro censorship people in the world. I see them on twitter, openly bragging about getting someone or a tweet removed.

If you are going to be upset at censorship of things like that, keep it consistent, and get mad that people on the left side of the political persuasion, has a weird fetish for ugly women in games, and can't help but censor things in past games that offends them.

Tomb Raider would not have been made during the Playstation era if we had leaders running the west like we do today. They are the puritans the right used to have in the 80s, except the Church Lady screaming things were Satan was actually right.

Satanism is not the worship of satan, it's the inverse of norms. Like when we see a pretty women go to a university and then get a bunch of tattoos, rings all over their face, and artificially make themselves ugly.
