Also, getting stuck on seizure warning screen.... I can hear the game in the background but the screen won't go away...

Had to turn off HDR in Windows display settings for the game to start.

Same issue.

Iam playing on PS5 and have the same problem. Starting the game and the screen stays black. Not always but most of the time. So it's a problem with the game itself.

The video player inside the game for the "HD" videos requires instruction sets unsupported by your CPU. Happily a workaround I discovered is to rename the "HD" folder inside every "FMV" folder of the games to any other name, that way the game will load the regular FMVs from the "OG" folders and the game will not crash anymore. Doing so FX, Phenom and some other legacy CPUs should have no more issues.

I did that and the game still has a black screen, then stops responding, and eventually crashes. :\

Even tried deleting my save file/cloud save in case it was corrupt but no dice.

Chiming in. I played through half of Tomb Raider II with zero problems. Now suddenly it won't start at all, just black screen. I'm on Windows 10. Tried a LOT of fixes so far with no success.

What did you try so far?

For me it was the AMD update on my RX 6600. A few people chimed in on my thread with same issue.

We have to play on an old AMD driver patch.
