Report a translation problem
Some weirdness going on with it being dark in light areas and light in dark areas too, thus spoiling some secrets and hiding things like hints that are meant to be seen, so its not a case of they tried to improve/tweak things, muh atmospheric muh shadows is not an excuse for looking washed out and dingy.
No flare hotkey is just salt in the wound too.
Speaking of which, if it's really too dark for some people, know you can always apply ReShade to the game and tone the contrast down a little (by using a shader like "curves" or "levels"). It's a great tool, I use it pretty much for every game.
