Modern Graphics too dark?
Anyone else find themselves constantly switching between graphics modes because the modern version is just too dark in places? Why couldn't they include a brightness setting at least?

I thought this watching streams and youtube, game looks blurry and overly dark in the new graphics mode, original was crisp and light and that is still clear in og graphics mode.

Some weirdness going on with it being dark in light areas and light in dark areas too, thus spoiling some secrets and hiding things like hints that are meant to be seen, so its not a case of they tried to improve/tweak things, muh atmospheric muh shadows is not an excuse for looking washed out and dingy.

No flare hotkey is just salt in the wound too.

I actually think now the old graphics that are actually too bright lol. The modern graphics fits it better. (At least in the beginning)

In the real world, everything would be pitch black.

For once that a game has nice darks, I can't complain. Most other games come out with a washed out color palette and a contrast that's making black areas look grey. And people like me who care about picture quality have to fix it by applying ReShade and using settings that affect contrast and such.

Speaking of which, if it's really too dark for some people, know you can always apply ReShade to the game and tone the contrast down a little (by using a shader like "curves" or "levels"). It's a great tool, I use it pretty much for every game.

There is a flare hotkey. Just look at my ragtag manual. (Shameless plug)

Just look in the controls menu ingame...
Way too dark for me. While I like the new graphics over all too much eyestrain to see anything in many many areas resulting in headaches meanign I've had to use the original graphics a lot. At least give those of us that want it a brightness slide option. So tired of people that think it's boss to strain to see in a game. They are as bad as the people that used to insult those that wanted manual save or QS in a game in addition to autosaves. Having an option doesn't mean one is forced to use it. I being able to see as an option in no way affects someone else.

Actually, you gonna find it weird, but I am not upset by it. On the contrary, I find it justifies more the use of the flares in the game, in my humble opinion.
