How do you grab ledges while jumping using modern controls?

She does it automatically when jumping up from a static position, but when jumping across she won't grab the ledge even though I'm holding the action button. Am I missing something?

I'm having the same problem. Remapping the action button also didn't work.

I just figured out in another thread that you need to press the right trigger for grabbing. That works. It's just not explained anywhere... :/

There are jumps in the games that will only work if you don't try to grab ledges mid-air.
Very confusing but you succeed if you don't or fall to your death if you try.

Having auto grab on a large jump would lead to an unbeatable game.

Really? I don't remember grabbing affecting jump distance in any way. It would look dumb with her constantly stretching after something though

It's really rare. I am not sure about TR1 but TR2 100% had one of these at least.
It has been quite a few years but I remember these jumps because they were annoying to figure out.

I figured you have to hold Mouse click left to grab and can hold space bar already :D

Four levels in I have found the backflips to be flaky even when firing guns. You can map all the controls as you will though, including using mouse buttons in both tank mode and "modern"
