How do you counter that flamethrower freak on middle railway trolley? (The route when you obtain a crowbar) He always gets me burned on the end of the path right before I leave a trolley

maybe save/reload can reset the guy's flame-animation? like in meteorite cavern, when the boss shoots at you.
