So you are going to be fine with a keyboard.
Almost every PC owner had a mouse already. And MANY of us actually used the mouse to play games like Doom and Heretic.
And don't forget point'n'clicks ! ;)
Otherwise as others stated, you can play it well with keyboard only with tank controls.
I didn't mention them, but point and click adventures were my favorite genre in the Nineties. Games like Gabriel Knight, Leisure Suit Larry 5 and 6, King's Quest and even Toonstruck were among my favorite games ever back then.
