I took all keys except for the golden key.
I just went through this level and I have no clue what you're talking about. None of the 2 rusty keys is behind a door. They are both accessible from the "main room", you can't get blocked if you decide to open one specific door before the other.
happened to me as well, you can get stuck in this level.
just die on spikes and press restart the level
when using the key in the door to the right and go down (where the spikes are) and if water is low level you can't climb up back to the main room, you're stuck, no matter what. You have to restart the level or load a previous save
But that has nothing to do with using the rusty key on the door to the right first, as opposed to the door to the left. Both rusty keys can be found virtually in the same room, and it doesn't matter which of the 2 doors you open first or second. The only way to get stuck is to go into the door to the right, without higher water level and not die on the spikes. If so you can just reload a previous save.
Otherwise opening either door is the same, you will have do more or less backtrack to lower or raise the water.
The issue i did face with the new graphics is that they key can be hard to see and you may think it just never spawned.
