i love 4:3, how did you manage to set it?
How the modern graphics look like on the CRT monitor? Id love to see some off screen videos
There is nothing to do.
I used a VGA to DVI adaptor for the monitor. It just detected as a secondary display.
I started TR1-3R and hit "alt+enter" to go into windowed mode. I grabbed the window and moved it to my 4:3 Dell LCD monitor and hit "alt+enter" again to go back into fullscreen.
This game will just anamorphicly auto adjust to whatever aspect ratio the monitor is. There's no settings to change or con files to edit.
Oh and also. I am using Linux Mint and Proton through Steam. But id on;t think that matters.
And the Modern graphics look pretty nice in 4:3, but they look a little muddy on a CRT VGA monitor. The originals look vibrant. I think the HD graphics look better on a LCD display!
Do you mean the games? I thought these games were made from the Mac source codes? The Remastered collection seems to auto adjust to monitor refresh rates and aspect rations automatically.
Thanks for the technical explanation. I only made this thread to report that the classic mode can be displayed in 4:3, but you need a 4:3 monitor, or you can put the screen into windowed mode and size it to be 4:3. The collection also supports extra wide monitors too.
