To dual pistol it just turn a bit then back forward towards your target again and it'll do it.
A bit harder to do with the modern controls though so i choose the right moment to do it. Takes a bit of practise to do it with Tank Controls too. I never usually start doing it until my reaction time on a level is much faster after practising it a couple times, then it's much easier.
but there's some rare moments where she genuinely does rapid dual-fire. as i said, this seems to randomly occur whenever a locked-on target comes back into line-of-sight.
That sometimes happens when Lara very slightly catches her target slightly from the side in a certain way, and it goes into a half dual pistol which looks like she's firing even faster. I've seen that now and again too over the years playing mainly Tomb Raider 2.
I think it's a slight glitch because normally you have to turn more than that to get it to work, but while in full on combat Lara may do it on the rare occasion. It's not really firing faster it just weirdly glitches.
just again, to be clear: i'm not confusing this with the off-sync-shooting-style, which happens when one gun is in the air, while the other is shooting. this is genuine dual-wield rapid-fire i'm talking about, doing genuinely more DPS.
