New Game+ (hard mode)
It's a lot of stupidest, it's like hard mode. It is not as casual as other games. Fix you game!

Developers, you have to rework it so that it is easy with new game+ (without hard mode) :steamfacepalm:

How about just getting good?

I'm actually glad they gave NG+ a better purpose than being just the exact same game but carrying over all weapons and resources from your previous playthrough.

I agree it would have been more fitting to simply call it Hard mode though. And I hope they address the problems I've read about, like not being able to progress in High Security Compound because the prisoners refuse to help Lara.

Only played tr1 ng+ thus far, it was alright, kinda grindy cause enemies have a lot of health but It was quite fun having to use save crystal because I never played a console version before. Only thing they could maybe fix is those lava sparks in atlantis take way too much health, they pretty much one-shot you and I'm not sure that's intended, overall a nice addition

How is the Dart damage? Mainly asking because of that section at the Great Pyramid where you have to shimmy across a gap with four darts that are super hard to avoid. I'm wondering if they didn't go to far with the trap damage increase.

You dont die from this if you have full health.
You can avoid the first dart by jumping diagonally on the wall.
The sparkling lava after this will drain another chunk of your hp.

I just finished High Security Compuond level...so difficult! The prisoners aim ONLY for you and not the guards, but you have to kill the guards because they drop objects that allow you to progress through the level. I found out that you can kill a guard by trap him in a door, when you close it...so many tries, but I did it!

Yeah the darts won't kill you, you'll have to be at full health to survive tho and after that there's a lava spark section that you need to avoid, if a single one touches you while at such low health you will die. Hardest section in ng+ along with the end of sanctuary of the scion, if you get through that the rest should be smooth sailing

New Game + is about being able to replay a game with all of your unlocked skills and/or equipment from a previous playthrough.

While you do get to keep the guns themselves, you don't get your ammo count or your healing supplies.

Its a difficulty mode, not a New Game + mode.

About as accurate as calling Tomb Raider a Role Playing Game. Watch out Final Fantasy... a new RPG in town.

Then there we’re marketing for Wolfenstein and Doom advertising them as adventure games lol.

I remember everything being marketed as some type of adventure game! It made a kind of sense, adventure games blew the competition away when it came to graphical fidelity and complex interaction with the environment. I imagine advertisers wanted gamers to think of the most advanced graphics and sound and 'adventure game!' was an easy way to do that.

Nothing will ever top Far Cry 3 marketing itself as "Skyrim with guns" though.

NGL, that sounds pretty bad to me. I mean, losing almost all your HP or even possibly dying due to straight unfair damage, in a difficulty mode where you have no medipacks.

Never played TR1 on PS1, but looking at badassgamez' old playthrough on YT, at least there should be a Crystal before and after that section if the remaster didn't change their locations. Well, I'm going to leave NG+ for later anyway in case a future patch rebalances some stuff. Pistols Only and completionist runs on the three main games will keep me busy for some time.

You have a save point right before you blow up the Scion, and one shortly after that part, it's not that bad. The fire thing is truly a menace tho, I didn't die to that one, but I outright just wiped a handful of times in the part with the secret bridge where you have to go back, there are 2 of those fire things and they just melt you.
