Note 1: I go into the opera house by dropping into glass pit with gold dragon, not through control room so my routing might seem a bit off to people who don't go that way
Note 2: This was on a file that I was speedrunning, so I didn't yet have magnums/uzis/grenade launcher, so that's why I got those in this list instead of ammo. I mention "or clips" in these cases.
1 - magnums or clips - gunman below start of level
2 - ornate key - room you jump to with club guy after pulling switch
3 - small medipack - same room, 2nd club guy when you go up steps
4 - mangum clips - gunman on top of opera dome roof
5 - large medipack - club guy on top of opera dome roof
6 - shotgun shells - gunman on path around opera dome roof
7 - small medipack - 2nd gunman on path around opera dome roof
8 + 9 - flares and shotgun shells - gunman on opera dome roof after pushing button to open entry to opera house control room
10 - uzis or clips - drop down from roof into glass pit
11 - gold statue - in same room as item 10
12 - small medipack - guy that approaches from hallway next to glass pit when you pass in front of opera house control room
13 - large medipack - club guy that comes out of double doors on opera house floor level
14 + 15 - 2 magnum clips - gunman on opera house 3rd balcony
16 - uzi clips - gunman on opera house stage
17 - ornate key - air ducts
18 - jade statue - end of air ducts
19 - large medipack - club guy that comes out with buddy from wooden floored room to right of stage
20 + 21 + 22 + 23 + 24 - silver statue + 4 uzi clips - underneath stage
25 - ??? - Gotten when picking up silver dragon (bug?)
26 - relay box - before ladder climbing out from underneath stage area
27 - shotgun shells - 1st gunman at bottom of elevator
28 - shotgun shells - 2nd gunman at bottom of elevator
29 - circuit board - underneath elevator
30 - shotgun shells - gunman on stage after raising curtain
31 - small medipack - club guy who comes from behind stage area
32 + 33 + 34 - grenade launcher + 2 grenades (or 3 grenades if already have launcher) - dual-wielding gun guy in loading area
35 + 36 - small medipack + uzi clips - gunman who comes when running around left side of boxes (facing away from stage)
37 - uzi clips - final gunman in loading area after pushing button to open exit
So it seems there's some weird counting when picking up the last dragon statue, it gives you an extra. I'm not sure if that's how it always works, never really paid attention, but it seems like a bug to me, but I made sure I had 19 pickups before the silver dragon pickup, then I had 25 when checking after picking it up, despite it only showing 5 items in the bottom right
I guess you ran through the remaster to check the items?
I just checked the statistics of a remastered opera house/all items run on youtube
they also had 37/37.
When I did my run I used a video of the original to help me find everything.
The "weird" thing is they didn't show the pickups number in the original.
I didn't remember that.
The old map in Stella's Walkthroughs mentions 36 pickups.
I guess you are right about that possible bug.
However, it's weird that they have 37 items in the statistics of the remasters.
When the original (according to stella's and the video I checked) only had 36
I have all the secrets and picked up "everything"
Most likely I missed a drop from one of the enemies.
Thanks again
I saw the same happening when finishing Diving Area. In the last room, with only the gold dragon remaining to collect I had more than two items missing in the total… 4 , I think. As soon I collected it, it counted the dragon + the items it gives when you collect all the secrets, completing the counting all way to the limit.
I remember reading a comment that it was not possible to get all the items in TR1
Not the floating Uzis or the "unreachable medpack" but some item in Atlantis.
I missed an item in Natla's mines, but I'm 99% sure that was me messing it up.
In the Atlantis level I was missing 1-2 items when I finished the level.
Is there something missing in the last 1-2 levels?
"All items" in Unfinished Business is still broken, though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
As for enemy drops, be careful that you don't kill enemies on slopes that Lara will slide down. I think people said you can still get them if you turn "walk to action" off and jump exactly onto the item and interact with it immediately, but it's probably tricky to execute.
I had a save right before the last secret. I got 6 items when I picked it up.
So I did miss another item. I had some enemies die "inside" walls/stairs.
In particular the rooftop of the opera house, where there are dogs and goons running amok, it's easy to overlook those ammo drops. There's another dude in the main hall on the second floor that is hard to see his ammo drops.
Now, it's just me or it's very very absurd that the rooftop is black, opaque, solid and very much intact, and when you look to it from inside the building (in remaster mode, not the original) to the VERY same location that it shows a broken roof with nice moonlight entering... very nice, but non-sensical.
Just a little update. I "found" the item". Or should I say, the item found me.
It was a guy that didn't spawn on stage when I was there the first, second, third... time. Only when I went back to search for the item he suddenly spawned when I was climbing a ledge on the left sideof the stage on the other side of the water (on the "audience side")
Thanks for all the help and replies everyone.
