here's some ideas:
- in TR2+ they reward you some medpacks for finding all secrets in a level. this would be of enormous help in TR1+.
- they could give us 3-5 medpacks from the get-go, for the entire run.
- nerf enemy scaling all together. i feel like currently it's at 200% HP and strength. maybe go for 150% instead, so mummies don't kill you in two seconds and don't take forever to die.
- reduce enemy count for some larger groups.
- or at the very least give us more checkpoints for the RNG-heavy parts.
just anything of the above would make NG+ much less of a hassle, but still challenging.
they clearly didn't testplay this enough.
You need to cheese every single enemy encounter you can and using only pistols because if not when you really neeed weapons you will have none.
i don't see any NG+ achievements on your profile. how do you "cheese" the tunnel near the end of atlantis where it's 3 atlanteans vs 1 lara? only way to survive that is getting all three enemies stuck in the ceiling, which is basically complete BS.
It just getting out of the corner for the initial one that spawns nearly on top of you can be a problem if it stun locks you in corner before you get a chance to backflip away.
seeing no NG+ achievements on your profile either. what's your progamer tip for the narrow corridor guarded by 3 atlanteans? :)
"just hope they all get stuck in the ceiling" is no viable strategy
These encounters are cheeseable, most of them save for "you turn left and an enemy spawn at your face" type of situation.
(and yes fllying enemies can get stuck at the ceiling, centaurs you can circle around for days and the other enemies you can run to a block, climb it and kil them from there even if you have to lure them back to where you are sometimes).
Also, again, save weapons for encounters you have more trouble to cheese or you can not cheese.
Also need to go back to regular mode to pick up achievements I missed… gotta say I enjoy achievements they added. Most feel extemely fair and fun to do.
I'm currently in the death trap gauntlet part and MY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GOD. I want to die. The unavoidable arrow traps that deal 1/4 of your HP, the fire ♥♥♥♥ that's basically unavoidable, holy ♥♥♥♥.
No. No they did not. They clearly played a few select levels and called it a day when it worked there. I feel it in my bones not one of those mother ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ did the whole game on NG+ before release. There is no way.
Then some of the achievements were made by Satan.
And the room has zero platforms to jump to or water if it’s the one I remember? At least not anywhere nearby there is a few places I could keep ahead of enemies or I could repeatedly side flip and backtrack to a larger room or over the enemies to something beyond….
Ya I used camera mode to see ahead on several occasion to see if there was any place I could get to that would put me on high ground or water to hide in lol… the. Set up my strategy….
But also limited saves is gonna make things much harder… I’m not looking forward to Crystal save system…
I hated that area the fricken one time that grid system makes dodging between arrow traps impossible….
I can’t imagine it without health packs…. Yikes….
