TR3 Warning: check inventory after selecting replay level
so I went from nevada --> london --> south pacific, and I found that if I die in london or SP and restart the level, I lose all of my extra weapons except for the shotgun and grenade launcher, and randomly lose or gain other items. Like I went from 18 rockets and the launcher to having a single rocket, this is surely bugged, right?

This is the change in my inventory upon dying and selecting "replay level":
46 to 34 shotgun ammo
18 to 1 rockets
30 to 6 grenades
63 to 24 harpoons
39 to 17 small meds
24 to 5 large meds
78 to 99 flares (what)

100 desert ammo to 12 clips
400 uzi ammo to 18 clips
960 mp5 ammo to 14 clips

just tested this going from area 51 to Thames Wharf. After starting London I Immediately dived off the building, selected replay level, and restarted with ONLY the pistols. No meds or ammo or anything.

Tested in Antarctica and India and my inventory was completely normal. Guessing it's related to how you now get some seemingly random % of your inventory back in Nevada.

i had it happen after restarting coastal village for achievement hunting.

guess the best thing you can do to prevent this is doing a manual save at the start of each level, while using a different slot for progression. building your own level-select, so to say.

nevertheless this can be a devastating bug when level-restart is the only option you got. should definitely be addressed in a future patch. don't know if the egs-build has this fixed.

Yes, yes...

I hope they do not release it anytime soon. I've to update my Dynamic Pipboy Light mod for New Vegas and have no time to play TR.

They should wait until I am done with that. :ujel:

I had the same thing happen to me going from Temple of Puna to Antarctica and also hitting restart level.

So saving at start of each level is the order of the day until they fix it I guess.

that's cool, but before you can confirm that the bug is fixed, you need to reproduce it on the old build first ;)

Gotcha. I'll try and reproduce what others are describing in an attempt to reproduce it. I don't really want to reinstall the base version to test though.

I guess it wont be a perfect test, but I'll be interested to see if I get the issue.

Unless of course the patch drops today as others said. Then everything will be swell!

i think so far n=1, haven't seen this reported anywhere else. let me know if you can replicate it, I'm betting the same thing exists on epic but who knows!

Can you guys confirm:

If you die on Thames Wharf and choose 'restart' does it take your equipment from you every time, or is it some sort of corruption? If this is easy to reproduce what I think I'll do is drag a copy of the game out of Steam, delete the Steam.api. Then I'll download a save list file from Nexus so I can jump to Thames and test it with the EGS patched version.

I basically don't want to do it with it connected to Steam because I don't want to get achievements out of order. It would bother me ok!

EDIT: Went ahead and took the initiative. Appears it is NOT fixed in the EGS patch! Cross your fingers and hope the patch fixes it.
