Game is too dark any advice?
My monitor settings are on 100% brightness and its hard to see stuff. Can find levers and other things even switching modes advice?

Not in TR1 though.^^ But if I remember correctly, there weren't any particular spots in TR1 you needed a lightsource for.

@OP

There might be a mod on nexus for your problem. Maybe have a look around there. :)
Good luck with the game.

the only spot in 1 that was dark but on purpose was the 1 room in egypt where you can drop down and need to fight some lions even that room is almost flashbang lvls of bright in the modern graphics

The lighting in this remaster is the biggest problem, as things that are supposed to be visible are hidden in the darkness and things that are supposed to be hidden are visible.
The remaster has made flares unneeded in most cases, as the areas where flares were specifically designed to be used in, it's all bright in this remaster.
The lighting design in this remaster even revealed the borders of the map, as this image shows

Yep. For some reason, when I was playing TR 2 sometimes in the remastered version some areas were absolutely black so I had to switch to the old version which made some areas more bright & vice-versa. Or I just light a torch and go with it. x)

It varies. The lighting in remastered version is more moderated, so what would be a bright spot in 90's graphics is more muted in remaster and what would be a pitch black corner in 90's graphics is just a shaded somewhat dark spot in remaster. Hopefully they do make stuff a bit brighter overall though.

go into your AMD or NVIDIA control panel and turn up your gamma about 5 levels , honestly any pc user should know this, as for steamdeck well can't help you there, never had one
