You can't change outfits in game
What an utter disappointment.
Why the hell would you be able to change this for photo mode but not allow us to change outfits as we wish during gameplay?!
This is what remasters are all about.
FAIL!!!

no, not really, that's not what they're all about at all

Might be a feature included in (new game +) only.

Photo mode is also not needed for a remaster, and yet, they included it WITH OUTFIT SWAP FOR THE TROLLING.
So there's literally NO REASON other than laziness to not include an outfit swap during gameplay.
Remasters are about adding content for fans. Especially these 25yr old games.

Not even as an unlockable. There is new game + but it's just you're keeping your items, that's it. Just barebones like that.

I hope modders are already considering fixing what these lazy devs are not delivering.
I'm truly baffled.

Yaaaay, let us have Lara's lewd summer vacation DLC like all the japsanese games have, aspyr. :lunar2019laughingpig:

I do really hope this is a feature they haven't revealed yet. If not I hope they add it in an update. Its really NOT that big of a deal, but it would be a cool feature.

Did the original allowed you to change costumes mid gameplay?

OK potato, so let me rephrase that for ya: A good remaster should include some bonus expected from fans. It's not necessary for a remaster. Of course not, there are plenty bad and good and some bare bones remasters out there. I'm not saying the remaster WILL be bad. It looks pretty sick actually. But but but ! ...
BUT if you tease us with a photo mode (a useless thing for a remaster btw) making it look like you can change outfits on the fly, and then not being able to do that for the gameplay, what do you think of that fact? Do you think it's cool? Or do you not think it's a WASTE?!
I would argue most people would agree with me that it would've been a NICE FEATURE, right?
"Oh hey, now I can play with the outfit I love or would like for this level!"
"No you can't"
Says Aspyr devs.
"Why?"
"Look at it in photo mode, and **** off"
"Oh OK! Ty!"

Did the original versions allow you to use the Chronicles crawling flip exit from crawlspaces? Did the original versions have a photo mode that let you snoop out secrets? Did the original versions allow you to have an option to have exclamation mark appear when next to interactables?

Make no mistake, I'm not asking for any new feature willy nilly, but optional outfit selection in NG+ would hardly be some horrible feature that ruins the feel of the classics.

They better allow that, I like how they do that in the modern games. Looking forward to finally playing these titles!! :First_Kill:

Heck... did the original let you use modern controls? This one actually irritates me. I frankly think modern gamers should be forced to actually play the game with the intended control scheme designed for grid based platforming. This DOES mess with how the originals were experienced opposed to outfits in NG+.

Thanks. And yeah. There a few costumes that would even be cool in some levels without ruining any "feel".
Wetsuit for South Pacifica in TR3
Antarctica or Bomber jacket for some levels in TR1
Nevada for some TR1
Catsuit for TR2 etc. etc.
It adds some variety to these games, it was a perfect time to do such thing...
I'm looking also at console players...
Hopefully some modders will be able to fix this. I truly hope.

I'm honestly not that bothered about it. But at the same time I understand where people are coming from - if they spent that much time to work it into photo mode, you'd think they could work it into the main game itself too. After all photo mode is rendering in-game.

Yeah I think as a NG+ option at least it would be a nice addition.

They could even have a fade to black, a zipper noise and fade back in with the new outfit. Would be a neat feature.

Have it be an actual inventory item... wardrobe in the backpack! lol
