i actually don't think anyones bought it, seems intresting but way over priced for what it is
I played the beta a few months back, liked it, and ended up buying the game now on release.

Judging the price point against how much fun you'll have with it is a subjective thing, but for me it was well worth the money.

This seems like a Long live the queen type game. That game only cost £7... I would lke to support this game... but not at the current rip-off price.

You create a character who basically posts on "Spacebook" which is a knock on Facebook. It's a sci-fi setting version of it, though.

Your character starts out with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ job and works his/her way up to various other ranks and such. There's sometime random 'away missions' which seem automated and are like...I can't even figure it out. So basically it's you posting on Spacebook and it reflects your relationship with others. That is all it seems to really be, honestly.

Going by what I can find:You can play it like a dating sim. You can play it like some kind of career manipulation game. You can play it like your a cowardly little weasel buttering everyone else up so you can slip out of that death trap. Might be other approaches in there.

That is how I think of it, yes. You can date people, 'rank up' in your career, etc

So from what I'm understanding by your posts the game is essentially like The Sims, just without the building your own house aspect but in return features a Sci-Fi setting?

I am truly fascinated by this game. I love the freedom to advance.

I hope they expand upon it further!!

I would love to see if you progress in certain areas like gambling - you find ways to cheat/make money for instance.

The game looks interesting but the price is far too high, it should be a £6.99 game really. I also don't like the fact that the dev appears to be deleting threads that criticise the game.

I played it all afternoon. I keep restarting because once i realize the game isn't really so much about advancing careers, but instead deciding what kind of relationships I want - it really got interesting.

There are many areas that can improve - for instance to filter my friends based on interests would be really handy when planning an invent - (or seeing a color like RED or GREEN if they have no interest/internest) before I send the invite.

I think away missions would be more interesting if there were random events where I can decide to hide or follow the captain bravely.

I was just about to enter a romantic relationship with someone and they died on an away mission - I think I should have taken a hit for happiness - and I think I should have been able to make a memorial post for her.

I had a ex-gf turn into psycho ♥♥♥♥♥ - sending me al these nasty posts, tagging me in insult posts etc.

I think it would be interesting to have a "Flame War" with your nemesis. I think also "Stalk your Ex" should be an event. I think it should be possible to post instead of just "Vaguebook" posts - put a "Trollbook" post - where people will reply/click like because your character posts "I think the Captain is doing a great job" or a terrible job or the galactic senate should declare war - etc.

I think there should be a component to the game where as you increase in gambling and trading - you learn how to get into the 'grey market'/'black market' and sell warp parts or go to highly underground parties - with a risk of getting caught (AND BUSTED IN RANK). I think that would be great.

One idea I really love is that when you do an activity too frequently - the price keeps going up exponentionally - to make it more prohbiitive to keep doing it.

I think also its possible to get "Addicted" to certain behaviors. A good example - if you play Spacebook games too much - you start to find when you go to click on something the game says "Instead, you logged into your spacebook game to check your status" - and you lose an action. That is real.
This could happen with other substances in the game.

Some other random ideas:

`- The ability to deck out your quarters - and as you increase in rank you get added rooms.
' - The ability to customize your robocat - and make it auto-renew (I find it essential) - let me expand its modules and name him.
' - Depending on your career - some times random events occur - and you must choose whether to take a risk or stick with the normal standard operating procedure. Lab tests, engineering accidents, translation protocols etc.

I've been playing it and it's pretty good. It's kind of a sadistic masochistic game about guiding your horribly depressed doomed Red Shirt through social networking on SpaceBook with drama queens and racists and self centered narcissists, while you advance your career, buy things, and survive going on away missions where everyone dies.

I kinda like it. What I don't like is how incredibly easy it is to be depressed. Although, I sorta understand why it would be given that you're stuck in an awful job in a shoddy space station that is likely to blow up at any moment, and with team members dying all around you, surely it's possible to remain happy?

In addition to that I'm having issues with finding appropriate events. I'd very much like to see an event list by AP cost, money cost, and attribute changes. Simply because it would cut down on the need to memorize activites and what they do.

I also noticed that when I remove someone from the friendslist I still get status updates about them in the little HUD panel in the bottom right, telling me this and this character has their opinion changed --15 (causing my character depression for some reason). So that might need fixing.

All in all it's an interesting game. I personally find it overpriced as is, but eh I've paid more for worse. There's a handful of itty bitty annoyances here and there, but overal an interesting game.

So basically, real life?

Long Live The Queen is a much better game, even if less sandboxy. There's way too much unfun micromanagement here, with game requiring you to keep track of large amount of npcs at the same time, which ain't even slightly fun. Too much chore, not enough interesting choces.
