Just got mine working again but it is from the start again what I did was look for saved game in users folder and deleted the game it then started ok but like i said its from the beginning again.
I had the same problem with this game so i went to steamlibrary and tried to launch game there.
It said i was missing a MSVCR100.dll file.
You can download the file from internet and copy it to the cabela pro hunts folder. Works for me.
Heres a link to the .dll file if youre too lazy to use google: http://www.dllrepair.com/dll/download.php/msvcr100.dll/msvcr100.htm
Right click saved games folder and restore to a previous version, closest to when the problem started. Easier to catch up on a few hunts than to start from scratch.
