if saber interactive weren't such an ignorant bunch and would give its players and customers a little something like normal steering wheel support. but that's not happening.
anyone can do it. they can't.
Even worse than that, it worked well in Mudrunner. I have a Simagic wheel and shifter with Thrustmaster pedals. All is fine, I can drive manual and everything is recognized. But in their recent game they removed this ? How can this be a valid choice ? No idea. Doesn't look promising for their next Road construction thingy..
As a matter of fact its starting to become such a trend that it makes me wonder if its done on purpose. Like if they are getting some kind of kickback from logitec, thrustmaster and fanatec to only support their hardware. Im not a programmer, so im just guessing, but i would THINK it would actually require more effort to lock out all hardware except for select ones than it would to just have open support for everything. So, if thats the case the "small team/small budget" excuse dont hold water, and it defiently dont in the case of "aaa" titles like forza.
So, i dont believe its that its hard to give us proper support, they are just being paid off to not support everything with the thought that they get more money to push people into buying into certain ecosystems. The reality of course is they are just losing sales altogether for alienating a large part of their core demographic.
