*CAUTION* Lost All Items Loaded on Sideboard Bed

Now, I'm not saying this isn't my fault, I should have been more cautious. I just want to warn people because I don't remember the game warning me about this.

First off, I noticed the items in my racks of my scout would stay in there after exiting an expedition. Knowing this I started an expedition and loaded some trucks up with a ton of fuel & spare parts. After I started, I realized I forgot to stock up my inventory. so I backed out of the expedition. Then I realized that all those supplies I spent a ton of money on were gone. Leaving me with half of the cash I started with. It was pretty painful.

So just remember there are consequences to stocking up too much as well as backing out of an expedition. Hopefully this saves others some grief.

- Stuff on the racks is permanent addons
- Everything that goes in the inventory and on sideboards are either consumables or items and will be sold or destroyed upon returning to HQ

Only the inventory items are one time use. I thought the side board fuel and spare parts were too but in my testing once you buy it you deploy with it each time.

You must be mistaking sideboard with something else. Sideboard is the addon where the Cargo items go to. It is reset every HQ visit, same as Inventory.

You can store stuff at the outposts if you want it to stay between expeditions

This right here! Items such as jacks & anchors will be sold back. Fuel & spare parts are seemingly destroyed if left in inventory or sideboards.

Does the game mention this anywhere? I feel stupid for letting it happen, but if it's not mentioned that's a mighty punishment for learning the hard way.

Maybe you're thinking of racks? I most definitely lost everything stored in my sideboards. However, everything in the racks stayed.

Are you using a scout or an off-road? The scout can't accept the sideboard items.
Is your sideboard full of stuff you brought with you? Sell off any yellow items you may have brought as they are only mission items. If it's fuel/parts taking up space try dumping it in the fuel storage area of the drop(if applicable).
