worth picking up with out multiplayer?
I've played all the 'runner' games and have about 1,000 between them but like 90% to 95% has been with a buddy on multiplayer.

The main question is do you the reader of this post recommend picking it up now or wait for the multiplayer?

So far from what I have played I am not seeing a reason to have online co-op in Expeditions, because it seems more suited as a solo experience as I don't see what another person in your game could be useful in anyway because what could they do to help with.

I can understand having an online co-op in Snowrunner, because it would be so much more useful to have someone else in the game to help get stuff done.

Have you enjoyed Mudrunner solo? Would you enjoy Mudrunner solo if instead of difficult mud it was difficult rocks/mountains? If yes then it might be worth getting it for you.

The game doesn't have much in common with Snowrunner in terms of game objectives. As ghost said, there doesn't seem to be space for multiplayer either, definitely not the same way there was in Snowrunner or Mudrunner.

Maybe they'll make it so that both players will be doing the same mission, with each of them doing the same objectives and earning progress.

I'm enjoying this one solo so far, but man it's well suited for co-op. It's very doable solo, but having support on some of this missions would be so nice.

I just don’t see any reason how having another player in your game can be helpful in any way with doing the quests in this game. It is completely doable solo, because there is absolutely nothing for another player in your game to do that can or will help you.

My friend and I would take turns running support vehicles in Snowrunner. Extra repairs and field. Good strong winch for the inevitable tips. Good example in this game is trying to do the various seismic missions with the terrible Step 310. I was often running out of fuel or getting stuck and would jump on to my support vehicle to bail it out.
More fun with a friend

In Expeditions you need to plan your route better before leaving camp.
For instance modify you vehicle with various additions to carry more fuel, and when your out on a quest search the land with your binoculars/drone and look for airdrops which will usually have fuel.
It really isn’t that difficult, and having an additional player in this game is completely pointless compared to Snowrunner which is useful having another player because there is a lot more to do in that game.

The game is decent, although buggy AF, single player. But like someone mentioned above, I can't even imagine how any of this would be necessary in co-op. I'm assuming the co-op will be quite a bit more involved when it does release, so I think overall you'll be happy now, then happy again later.
