Then why do you buy them?
Everything in this game - with everything it has going on would melt old systems - a broken "lazy" game would be one you could not play - This game you can play start to finish - no problems - even my excessive grind that would cause problems is still stable.
Finally as my previous statement, if you knew that these games "Now-a-days" have all of kinds of bugs and are not polished or anything else when their released - You KNEW that full well from your statement "I am Extremely sick of games releasing without any polish" - yet you still bought the game. - If someone came up to you and said "I'm going to sell you this Item, but before hand I'm beat the living crap out of you with it before I give it to you - However if you wait 3-6 months after I'll just give you the item" and you proceed to buy it - you get your beating because you think you can take it, however after 20 items you bought from them, you come out and say "I'm sick and tired of getting my ass beat" and you buy the item anyways - when you could easily just wait 3-6 months. IDK.
I think snow runner feels better the menu and HUD looks better less complicated and as for the drone and the new tech they could have added that ALL in on snowrunner but it was not as profitable as making a "new game" The Expedition feels like a Softer more "friendly" version of Snow runner
Im not saying the game is bad i dont have enough time to make that call but so far i prefer Snow runner since i still have many many hours of DLC to play on snowrunner
An example of their laziness is the tutorials in this game which are terrible - an example is "Altar" on the first map where you have to do some weird scanning thing that keeps failing and you have no idea why! (Turns out you hit space at a certain point of the scan but there no information or tips op up the first time you're faced with this. It's this laziness they're known for.
Apart from the laziness in design and implementation, my main gripes so far are the utterly unrealistic fuel consumption and having to sell everything when you go back to the garage.
However, having said all that.... it's really growing on me. I've only played about 10 hours and I'm now quite enjoying it after the first few hours where I hated it, with the stupid controls and incomprehensible inventory and sideboard control (however designed that screen should be shot!) but now I'm getting more comfortable with it and starting to enjoy using the drone and binoculars, much better winching and having to really plan routes in detail. The vanilla trucks are mostly too awful for words though so I've caved already and got the modded LS1700 from MrBusses, https://mod.io/g/expeditions/m/loadstar-1700-rockbiter-by-mrbusses. I've set it up not to be OP but just enough so that it's not constant frustration. I also got the mod for more realistic fuel consumption as the game consumption is totally ridiculous.
I'm pretty sure I'll keep playing while I wait for the next year pass of SR but when that arrives I'll be heading back there with glee.
Your clown award spam is what's causing all these problems on steam in the first place - if you gave points to people who's opinions you valued as opposed to rewarding trolls and instigators - we wouldn't have 40+ discussions of the exact same thing of bots trying to bleed you dry of your points.
This game is deep, and has fairly advanced physics.
Even the best mobile games I tried, doesn’t compare to this.
This game is about planning expeditions, which needs some thinking, maybe that’s the problem for some?
Snowrunner, which I like very much with hundreds of hours, is about getting stuck and then getting stuck some more.
Where Expeditions is about planning an expedition, more driving with correct gear.
More thinking with what specialists to choose.
In snowrunner everything is more simple.
And I understand why some think this game is hard, it’s because they compare it too much with Snowrunner.
I don't think it's the core gameplay thats the problem. It's the wonky way they Implemented it.
