At the Focus Entertainment site you are basically buying directly from the devs/publisher.
Just because a 3rd party seller is safe doesn't mean it's reliable. Multiple people had(have?) issues getting their extra keys to register for the DLC from the 3rd party site. I'll take paying an extra few $ over buying something I can't use.
GMG is partnered with publishers, it's an official (digital) retailer. Totally different than those CDKey websites. Same with GOG.
But OP should mention that you get a Steam key from the publishers which is a pretty uncommon nowadays.
You completely missed the point of my post. Multiple people were(maybe still are) unable to access their bought content after buying from 3rd party resellers. It's not that the reseller is unsafe, just that codes are unreliable, even when they come from a safe source.
