Two issues after a few hours of play
The "Explore the area" objective could be a lot smoother. I'll sometimes spend a few minutes with binoculars or drone trying to get that last few percent of the objective. Sounds trivial, but it gets old fast.
Drone control feels really sluggish. I've never seen a drone operate this way in games or life.

The drones definitely feel far too slow and sluggish. That said, they also have an extremely unrealistically low range (but I'm guessing that's because they'd utterly trivialize map exploration otherwise). On flat, unobstructed terrain, I've taken my drone out as far as 3 miles from where I was standing. That was an older and fairly basic commercial model too. Something newer and fancier could explore the entire map from base camp.

The "no fly zone" around the edge of the map seems a bit too strict. I get they don't want me peeking over the mountains into nothingness, but I'm still very much on a legitimate trail and it won't let me take off.

Yeah, they could definitely improve on the drone speed and handling and range, for sure.
I'm not asking for anything too extreme, but a little quicker, and maybe a little further would be nice!!

There is a Mod for Snowrunner that is a MATV and a drone came out the back of it....cant believe the amount of copying others ideas this game has to be honest... like the tire pressure system which was in spintires plus for spintires....

The tire pressure system was patched into SpinTires (without ST+) when the new guy was employed before they went tits up. I used it a lot in the China DLC The Sherpa was excellent for floating across the rivers then reducing tire pressure for the boggy areas.
Nothing is still like SpinTires. It excels in all departments.
Proper contact with terrain (no clipping through logs like Snowrunner does and probably this too), mud deformations. Best of all real engine sounds, real gearbox/wheel support and superb un-grindy game play. What Plus did and failed at, was tracked vehicles. I wish that had continued into real content.
Remember bulldozers but the tracks kept falling apart… 😞
I’m glad I bought everything for it and own it.
