i had this error before game was official released (i got early access key weeks before its release), i thought its because game is not officially out and that issue disappeared when early access was officially released (5 days before official release i think?).
any of you who have this issue, have you completed tutorial expeditions on that little starter map? if not, complete those, make sure game is saved, restart game and try again. it's a long shot and i doubt it helps, but it won't hurt to try.
I have an account on mod.io and have it linked to both my steam and my epic accounts. removing one or the other does not solve the issues either. Not sure what to do at this point. I've been stuck using the mods I had already, but none of the levels show up, and I can't seem to use them with manual download/install either.
look in expeditions savegame folder, there should be /mod.io/ folder and in there you should have some file called "authentication" or "authenticator" or something like that. move that file and try again. you need to re-link mod.io again in-game.
see if that works.
i had some issue in snowrunner that mods didn't show up and deleting that file + re-linking fixed it.
