Settings will / were not saved

Everytime when i start the game I have to reconfigure new the language Deutsch and the Settings for the Steering Wheel . They were not saved.
Is this a bug? If not, how can I saved this?

still no fix for this yet... 3 times now I have had to re set up my steering wheel controls (G27). I'm just going to contact steam for a refund soon as it's just broken as in NOT WORKING! and NOT BEING FIXED!

G27 isn't supported. Read the pins.

Take a step back, and look at what you're saying. You say "still no fix for this yet.....", like you're replying to a two-year old thread, when the devs just responded they're looking into it three days ago. And you're trying to get a steering wheel working that is over ten years old, and it's supporting software has always sucked.

I have a G27 as well. It's up in the bonus room gathering dust where it belongs. It's a relic. As is it's software. If you want to have a dog in this fight, then at least use hardware that's supported by the game. It's like being mad the game won't run on your Commodore 64. You're trying to use a wheel that hit the shelves before you were even born.

Clearly you can't be bothered to read about what the actual problem is, and I'm sorry to say but if they can't even make a game save keybinds... they shouldn't be releasing stuff to steam....

Hey, can you also please make a note of graphics settings not saving?
the "upper" part saves (resolution, vsync, framerate limit..etc), but everything below the "preset" doesn't save.
every time i start the game, it starts everything on ULTRA.
i want some things to be on high and shadows low, but it keeps reverting back after every restart of game.
hope you can fix this in next patch aswell.

In my case its not just the steering wheel settings. And it doesnt happen everytime i load up the game but it happens way too often.
If it happens ill need to remap my whole controls and FFB, steering input is set to controller and i have to change it. Sound settings are all on 100% and i play with music off, so as soon as i am in the Main Menu and the music plays, i know its remap time...
What the game doesnt automatically change are the graphic settings for me. They are always unchanged when this happens.

Same issue here. Hope they will fix it soon. Graphic settings are saved all the time, but i have to reconfigure Language, Keyboard and Wheel settings 7 of 10 starts of the game. its sporadic, sometimes i start the game with the correct settings

The reason for video settings working, and the others not working, is explained in the other post.

With regards to settings loading sporadically, I did some other testing initially, and found they would sometimes be more likely to load if the game was in the background while it started. This was not 100% reliable though so might have just been coincidence.
