Stuck on the other side of a gate
Need to know if I am missing something or if this is an oversight in the game.

Started the mission "No More Shaking". First time going through a gate in this game. Once I'm on the other side and little bit into into Wahweap Bay I realize I'm going to run out of fuel before completing the mission. No problem, I figured this might happen so I left a fuel runner truck with a bunch of extra fuel at the starting camp. This is where the problem comes in. I can't access the other truck on the other side of the gateway. I can't even recover the out of fuel truck, i can see the camps listed in the Outposts section of the map but clicking recover on any of them does nothing and the trucks section is only showing the one truck in Waheap Bay.

Are you only able to access trucks and outposts for the specific section of the map you are in? Is this on purpose? Am i actually in a spot where my only option is to quit out of this mission back to headquarters and start it over? I recognize that the easy answer is I should have loaded more spare fuel into the truck before even starting the mission but this feels really dumb to lock me out of any other trucks i brought for this mission and also to not allow me to recover.

Yes, currently it's bugged... You also can't recall truck between maps, meaning if it's your first time in the zone you can't recall at all. If you want to take a 2nd car through gate you have to bring both to the gate and cross it winched.

I don't think its a bug. I think the devs were just being lazy and released the game before it was finished. There is literally no way to do it. If it was a bug it wouldn't work when you tried to do it. The problem is, there is no option to even do it.

Yeah, that's what I meant. We're missing at least one solid patch that adds the missing stuff.

Maybe its design choice, need to scout and plan whole mission from start.

That was my initial thought but this works against that idea because you would need to bring both trucks through the gate together, a slight trip already, then scout to see if you have everything you need and if you don't then you end up in almost the same boat I'm already in where you back track completely or quit out to resupply/reconfigure the truck(s). I really hope it's an oversight because if this was a conscious design decision it is a very bad one.

I also had this and I'm dropping the game until it gets fixed. This is a very common thing on a game like this, no way it is a design choice.

i find it frustrating aswell. biggest annoyance is that i'm not able to swap between maps, so i can't jump into other vehicle and drive it to the truck that needs fuel.

for now, you have to just look for air drops, they usually have some fuel. or just take more fuel with you.

adding to this thread too in hopes of signal boosting this issue. It's very early in the game for a bug or design oversight barring gameplay like this.

Can't you just go back and tow it across? That's what I did.

I've tried that and it doesn't give me the option to travel if I have a truck hitched. I've seen others say the same. Either way it's still BS you can't switch maps.

I'm stuck in the same situation. Out of gas truck on a map where I have no open outposts and no other trucks. It's ridiculous. Did they build this entire game without once playing or even talking to someone that had played Snowrunner?

I'm stuck in "No More Shaking" to...gateways are bugged for sure.
Making the gateway behaviour like this by design would be simply stupid.
Simulation games aim to be realistic and are expected to behave like that...how realistic is not being able to call for assistance kms away?

The missions unlock sequence is not well thought to..."No More Shaking" mission is "very hard" and every mission before was "easy"...how about unlock normal missons before?

In "No More Shaking" also i had a supply drop in a certain area before entering the gateway and after trying the mission for the 3 time the supply drop dissapeared?

The game interface, controls and camera control are confusing, little intuitive and sometimes frustating.
I thing the game needs a big revision/patch by the devs.

Right there with ya. I'm off playing other games for a bit until this one is closer to done.

That's odd. I towed 2 trucks across the maps. Are you using controller instead of keyboard? They came across together with the see-through look similar to Snowrunner.

This is the exact reason I have stop playing at the moment.
