I think something is wrong with the offroad Gearbox
It seems way weaker than the other gearboxes and especially on trucks.
Try using the bandit with the offroad gearbox and the standard weakest engine.
Even unloaded it can barely get itself moving. Same thing with Ank.
They feel so weak, that can't be right can it?

True - for Bandit and ANK deffinitely use fineTune (or how is it translating in english-those with max Low tuning) - offroad gearboxes are good for smaller vehicles such as scouts or even TUZ´s .. but u will see huge difference once u change correct gearbox for Bandit&ANK (BIG NO 4 offroad gearbox 4 those 2 trucks;))

yeah, feels like trucks have less torque than in snowrunner in general
i pretty much only use offroad for vehicles with switching diffs, highrange for the rest and i hate the slow shifting in the finetune gearbox

:steamfacepalm: Engage (L)gear, then (H)gear. Forget about (A)!

Based on what I've unlocked so far, it feels more like this is a problem with the ANK. I've used offroad and finetune gearboxes on other trucks without problems. But on the ANK with the finetune gearbox, about half of the time it just doesn't start moving at all, no matter if it's in A/L/L-/L+. If you use the winch to get it moving the first 20cm, then after that it accelerates fine and power is no problem. It feels like a steam engine where the piston is at a dead spot.

The standard gearbox also has the same problem in A gear, but at least there you can get it moving in L gear and then switch back to A. Of course the downside of the standard gearbox is that having neither L+ nor H gear means you have to deal with the constant downshifting to 1st gear which this game does across all trucks.

I wonder what went wrong when they ported the ANK from snowrunner, where it was such a powerful truck that they had to limit its use to flatbed only because otherwise it would've been too overpowered.

On the bright side, the number of missions that actually require a heavy truck has been very small so far. For the vast majority of missions, the TUZ 16 Actaeon is still my favorite truck. Fully upgraded it feels like it's the perfect allrounder.

Most offroad gearboxes are indeed geared poorly, making it hard to even take off. ANK is the worst because only its Highrange gearbox isn't compromised.

Check the gearboxes tab over at Expeditions Extras[docs.google.com], if the first gear is over 2.0 - it's problematic.

Yeah I tried editing the gearbox in the xml files.
A slight lowering of the first gear values is a massive improvement.

So realistically tested by the dev team… that people have to edit xml files. Nothing changes. Had to do the same in Snowrunner 🙄
